You are entitled under the law to be put back in the position you were in prior to an accident. This means that if your vehicle was damaged you are entitled to have it repaired to the standard it was before an accident. You are entitled to a vehicle whilst yours is off the road. You are entitled to reimbursement of any other losses. This is a legal right which Insurers cannot take away.
Your insurance record is protected - We notify your insurer that there has been an accident but make sure that he marks his file "for information only". This usually protects your insurance claims record
Insurance premiums - as we invoice the other driver's insurance company for full payment you should not face increased insurance premiums.
Insurance excess - if you go the non fault route you are not making a claim on your insurance and there is no insurance excess to be paid. This saves unnecessary expense when collecting your vehicle from the repairer.
Full repair at a repairer of your choice - Using the G.A.R.S scheme you can obtain a full repair with manufacturers approved parts and full labour times and rates.
Loss of value claims - if your vehicle was relatively new you may be able to claim for a reduction in value of your vehicle as a result of the accident.
Full market value if your vehicle is written off - if your vehicle is written off we will claim the full market value for you rather than the reduced rate normally suggested by insurance engineers.
Independent Engineer - we appoint an independent engineer on your behalf (where appropriate) to ensure that you receive a full repair or full market value if your vehicle is written off. We act for you and not an insurance company and we look after your interests.
Replacement vehicle - for the period of your repair can be arranged through one of our partners. Where this is agreed for a non-fault repair the charges will be processed on a credit hire basis with the costs recovered from the drivers insurers.
