Vehicle Written-Off?
If you are informed that your vehicle is or your bodyshop indicate that your vehicle probably will be Written-Off / Total Loss / BER Beyond Economical Repair the Good Accident Repair Scheme can still assist you.
Receive full retail value if your vehicle is written-off.
Many insurers only pay you the trade value of your vehicle if it is written off. This can be 10-15% below retail value.
Using our service avoids trade value and ensures retail value. An Independent Engineer (rather than one employed by your insurers) values your vehicle and ensures you receive full retail value.
We will also be able to assist you in regards to some of the potential issues surrounding the vehicle being written-off in regards to paperwork and who keeps the vehicle.
Advice:
Personal Items:
If your vehicle has been recovered back to a recovery company or is sitting at a bodyshop we advise you to IMMEDIATELY clear ALL personal items from the vehicle.
Personalised Registrations:
If you have a personalised or cherished number plate that you wish to keep, you must transfer or retain it before you dispose of the vehicle. If you do not do this you will lose your entitlement to that number. You need to ensure that your insurance company does not dispose of the vehicle and it is available for inspection. For more information read booklet INF46 Registration numbers and You available from the DVLA
